Nau mai, haere mai, welcome to the website of the Parish of West New Plymouth,
which includes St Chad's Church, Westown and the Church of St John the Evangelist, Omata.
St Chad's church is situated at 12 Omata Road, Westown. Services are held on Wednesdays at 10.00 am and at 8.00 am and 9.30 am on Sundays. Ample parking is available. During January 2016 only one service will be held each Sunday, at 9:00am
The parish has two clergy: The Venerable Jacqui Paterson, Priest in Charge and The Rev. Maureen Hook, the parish Deacon Assistant. Jasmine Beller is the parish secretary. The parish office is manned Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00am to 1:00pm
A craft group meets every Thursday afternoon at 1.30 pm for fun and fellowship. Members have knitted many many teddies for the Seasons Programme. This group will resume its meetings on Thursday 4 February 2016.
The Association of Anglican Women (AAW) is an active group which meets monthly. Two sessions - one on Tuesday afternoons and one in the evenings. This group supports the church in many ways, also supporting missions through the national association. Meetings commence with a short service, and a social time follows. On occasions there is a guest speaker. Anyone wishing to join this group is most welcome.
The Seasons Programme is run under the umbrella of the parish, and caters for children who are experiencing grief through the loss of someone close in their lives. Please contact Sam Reynolds, the coordinator, on 022 351 4737 for further information.

St Chad's is the supplier for Ezze Meals in New Plymouth.
These tasty pre-cooked and frozen meals are available on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9.30 am until 12 noon.
For a delivery fee of $5.00 you can have your meals delivered to your home on a Friday morning.
Orders can be placed by phoning the office on (06) 753 4306. Payment, cash or, preferably, cheque is required on receipt of your meals.
