THE PANORAMA by Bruno
Egli (19/8/97)
".. it should
be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit,
which is
of great worth in God's sight." 1 Peter 3:4
Again I stand on this lovely
vantage point. Time and again I feel drawn to it. I love to sweep my eyes
sweep over this delightful Panorama; The majestic snow covered peaks in
the background, The Lake glittering in the sunshine deep below, In
the distance, villages and isolated houses, Farmlands and Forests. Day after
day I'm drawn to this place, As if the Spirit of God were trying to say
something to me. Once again I'm here,
absorbing this beautiful Panorama, And God in his mysterious way reveals His
message to me. Would you come here if all you could see was
sameness? Each feature you see, from the
vantage of this place you stand, Is as the beauty I see, as into the hearts
and souls of my people I look. No sameness, for to each their place in
life, creates the Panorama of life. Each season of life new
shades of delight. Some are giants of
Faith Some bubble over with love and delight Shy ones quietly fill the
sight Children fill This Panorama with their desire to live and
achieve, and a future for their tomorrows. Believe me, each heart and
soul is required to complete the Cosmic Panorama of
life. Each day you came, you wished for a
more perfect view, Clouds that hid the peak Mist that hid the
valley. How you wished that nothing were
amiss. But I admit, my Panorama too is
incomplete, Anger & Hate, Abuse, Self-hate and Fear From
what should be perfect, amiss. Each day, I
the Lord of Life, Send my Spirit to help and heal. To make whole that
which is marred.

A friend is one who sees through you and still enjoys the view.
